holding their monthly diabetes class
on Thursday, June 15th from 8am to
2:30pm in the Geneva Room at AMH.
Classes will focus on carbohydrate
counting and dietary management,
foot and skin care, exercise, the
emotional aspect of having diabetes,
self-monitoring blood glucose meters,
and how often to check glucose levels,
lifestyle hints to help control blood
sugar, how specific drug classes
prescribed for diabetes work, drug
side effects, and drug interactions.

June 6th - August 4thSummer Speed and Athletic Development with Joel Bone: High SchoolersTuesdays and Fridays from 8:30am to 9:45amBellmont High School track and weight roomThis developmental summer camp will consist of speed work on the track, light explosive lifting in the weight room and safe/preventative pre and post workout stability exercises. Every sprint, lift, jump, skip, lunge, etc. will be performed with 100% exertion with a high emphasis on technique and stability.
Goal: To make positive physical change in each participant and to watch those changes carry over to their sport.
Instructor Bio: Joel is a 2009 graduate of Bellmont High School where he played four years of football and baseball. He continued his education at Marian University of Indianapolis where he also played quarterback for the football team. Joel is currently the Sports Performance Specialist at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur.
