Diabetes Education
With guidance from the American Diabetes Association program, our focus is on helping you reach your health goals by providing diabetic care and treatment through our specialized diabetes self-management training program for the heart, vascular, kidney and urinary systems. We cover lifestyle changes, food and nutrition counseling, exercise plans, medication management, glucose control, insulin therapy, chronic complications management (heart, kidney and blood pressure) and acute complications management (hypoglycemia).
Our diabetes education team includes physicians, nurse practitioners and specialized diabetes educators with experience in endocrine disorders, diabetes management and nutritional counseling.
At Adams, we offer classes for newly diagnosed diabetes patients, a monthly support group, a pre-diabetes class and ongoing support through our certified diabetes educator, dietician and health coach.
