The Worthman Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art facility where fitness professionals help you achieve new levels of health and well being. Our mission is to improve the health of the people of our community.

SERVICES
  • At the Worthman Fitness Center we offer everyone encouragement and the opportunity to achieve a wellness-focused lifestyle.
  • Individuals ages 14 years and older may become members.
  • Staff members are certified in CPR, blood pressure screening, and in the use of the AED.
  • Staff with degrees in Exercise Physiology, specializing in Cardiopulmonary Rehab & Wellness
  • Certified Health Coach, personal trainers, and group exercise instructors

MEMBERSHIP TO THE WORTHMAN FITNESS CENTER OFFERS A VARIETY OF SERVICES:
  • Use of various cardiovascular and strength training equipment
  • Lipid profile and fasting blood glucose measurements upon joining and annually
  • Dietician consultation
  • Use of indoor track
  • Free educational material
  • Group fitness programs are available for an additional fee
  • Initial one-on-one orientation session
  • Locker rooms with showers and towels are available

  • $20.00 enrollment
  • $20.00 per month
  • Add a spouse or family member for enrollment fee and $10.00 per month

Employees of Adams Health Network

  • Free enrollment
  • $10 per month
  • Add a spouse or family member for enrollment fee and $10.00 per month

Enrollment fee will be waived for all cardiac and physical therapy rehabilitation patients joining the Worthman Fitness Center within 30 days of last rehab visit.

Silver Sneakers, Silver & Fit, and Renew Active Programs

  • These programs are offered to Medicare-eligible members of a sponsoring organization or health plan.
  • Silver Sneakers Members receive the same membership privileges and amenities as the basic members.
EXERCISE CLASSES:
  • Cycling Class: This class utilizes a specially designed stationary bicycle and an instructor that will lead you through a ride that may include climbs, sprints, jumps, and/or HIIT. Both your power and endurance will be challenged in this class.
  • Yoga: A blending of physical movements with deep, focused breathing designed to reduce stress, increase flexibility, and strengthen muscles.
  • Core Training: A 30-minute workout that targets the abdominal muscles to build a strong, stable foundation.
  • SilverSneakers Muscular Strength and Range of Motion: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
  • SilverSneakers Yoga: A group exercise class designed for those who have a desire for more flexibility, balance, muscular endurance, and mind-body training. This class is appropriate for “everybody.” All of the poses and breathing exercises are performed either seated or standing and led by a certified instructor.
  • BodyFit: A boot camp style class that incorporates a variety of strength and cardiovascular exercises into a 45-minute workout.
  • Zumba®: An upbeat, Latin-inspired dance fitness class that will give you a total workout by combing all elements of fitness—cardio, muscular conditioning, balance, and flexibility.
HEALTH COACHING:

Health Coaching in the healthcare setting works to provide patients with the personalized “how” and “why” component in making changes to optimize one’s health and wellbeing. Professional coaches partner with patients to develop and sustain healthy lifestyles by providing support in:

  • Behavior change process itself
  • Getting past the “mental block” of making a change
  • Increasing self-motivation
  • Leveraging patient strengths
  • Increasing capacity to change
  • Increasing self-regulation
  • Building psychological resources needed for change that include

    We serve delicious meals daily to our patients, employees, and community. We are located on the first floor of Adams Memorial Hospital and can be found by going straight after entering the Main Hospital Entrance. Below you will find our current menu being offered daily at the Café, along with our set menus for in-house patient Room Service. We are open every day from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
